ACTIVE AND REACTIVE ENERGY ANALYSIS
Electrical power is expressed as apparent power. Apparent power consists of active and
reactive components. Active power (P) in the electrical circuits, the useful power drawn
from the system by the receivers is called active power. For example, active power turns
into heat in heaters, motion in engines, and light in lighting devices. The reactive power
(Q) is called the useless part. Motor, transformer, etc., which creates a magnetic field,
and capacity-qualified devices (UPS, Led, etc.) use reactive power. If excess reactive power
is found in the system, the system lowers the power factor and the efficiency of the system
decrease. This may cause an unwanted voltage drop, transmission losses, overheating, and
higher operating costs.
As Florawise, we monitor all these variables online and regularly report them to our
customers, ensuring energy usage more efficiently and preventing high operating costs
