ESCO INVESTMENTS

The ESCO model, or Energy Service Company model, is a business approach that focuses on delivering energy services and improving energy efficiency for customers. ESCOs are specialized companies that offer a wide range of energy-related services, including energy audits, the implementation of energy-efficient projects, and financing options.

The customer makes payments to the ESCO based on the energy savings achieved. The payment structure is typically designed as a portion of the realized energy savings. The ESCO and the customer agree on a predetermined payment rate or percentage , often referred to as the shared savings or performance fee. This fee is usually calculated by subtracting the baseline energy consumption (pre-project) from the actual energy consumption (post-project) and multiplying it by the agreed-upon rate.
