TEKNOSA Retail Stores
TEKNOSA retail stores achieved up to 19% energy savings, with a total of 5.8 Million kWh saved across 3 years with Florawise Energy Management Systems

Result:

  • 19% energy saving
  • Total energy gain of 5.8 Million kWh so far
  • 2.55 kilotons of CO2 emissions prevented

Florawise Sustainability Solutions allow:

  • HVAC Systems Control
  • Plug and Lighting Control
  • AC Unit Control

Application:

Optimizing the energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint in TEKNOSA stores with Florawise devices. With Florawise Modular Analyzer X12, the energy consumption is continuously monitored, while it is being managed by the Florawise Holistic Engine, connected to the Modular MAX device. Modular MAX device gathers all the energy data of the store, provided by IR Blaster devices installed across the store for the purpose of HVAC and Plug and Lighting Control. All devices communicate effortlessly, allowing energy monitoring and management across the store.

Each store has their energy consumption data, monitored and managed by the Florawise devices, taking into account all external environmental conditions, and internal changes to optimize energy usage. The Florawise technology uses state-of-the-art technology to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions in TEKNOSA stores.

Customer:

TEKNOSA retail stores operate with over 180 locations across more than 60 cities in Turkey. Over the past 25 years, TEKNOSA has provided services throughout many parts of Turkey, covering a sales area of over 100,000 square meters.

Challenge:

TEKNOSA's 180 stores have an annual energy consumption exceeding 10 million kWh. Given its primary involvement in electricity and lighting sales, TEKNOSA faces unique challenges in prioritizing energy conservation within its stores due to its extensive energy use. Optimizing existing systems, integrating new technologies, and ensuring the seamless continuation of operational processes are critical challenges. Effective lighting and plug control require careful coordination and planning, both during and outside of working hours, in addition to comprehensive HVAC system control and the management of facilities larger than 100 m².

Solution:

We have equipped TEKNOSA stores with our IR Blaster, Modular MAX, and Modular Analyzer X12 devices, tailored to the number of AC units and electrical panels. The IR Blaster devices enable us to control all HVAC systems as well as Plug and Lighting systems. We have set up automated scenarios that comply with all regulations and optimize energy use.

The Florawise Modular Analyzer X12 allows us to monitor the energy consumption of the stores before, during, and after implementing our solutions, enabling active tracking of progress and calculation of energy savings while continually striving for further optimization.

All data is transmitted to the Florawise Holistic System via Modular MAX, where all energy usage is managed and monitored. By dynamically analyzing internal temperature changes, and external environmental conditions, our system ensures that all systems operate optimally, avoiding unnecessary energy wastage. Similarly, lighting systems automatically adjust their energy use based on store operation hours and the amount of natural daylight available. We also dynamically update the energy programming of HVAC systems, allowing real-time consumption data to be shared with the Florawise holistic engine for deeper and more efficient optimizations.

With the implementation of our solutions, we have achieved up to 19% energy savings and a total energy gain of 5.8 million kWh over three years, making existing systems smarter and preventing 2.55 kilotons of carbon dioxide emissions across TEKNOSA stores.
